Malpais

Malpais still claims the quaint fisherman village charm of its origins in addition to boasting a handful of boutique hotels, eco-lodges, and restaurants sprinkled among the local residences. Mel Gibson and several other well-to-do individuals have built luxury vacation homes in the secluded and steep forested hills bordering the Cabo Blanco Reserve and coastal interior.

For all practical purposes, Malpais is the softer side of its adjacent neighbor, Santa Teresa, and has easy access to all the amenities and tours offered therein.
